SELTECH’s Carbon Footprint Commitment
At SELTECH, we believe exceptional sound should never come at the expense of the planet.
That’s why we are committed to transparency when it comes to our environmental impact. Carbon footprints are calculated for all the components you purchase. This initiative marks the first step in our broader mission to minimize the ecological footprint of our entire product range.
A Lifecycle-Based Approach
For each product, we assess its carbon footprint based on its lifecycle. Currently, our analysis includes:
- Raw material usage
- Component manufacturing
- Transport and logistics
At this stage, daily use and end-of-life/recycling are not included in our carbon calculations. These phases vary significantly depending on how customers use and dispose of the product. Rather than rely on vague assumptions, we have chosen to omit them from the current model. However, we’re prepared to adapt our methodology should we decide to include average use and recycling scenarios in the future.
